The deal,
in plain words.

Eliminator helps a group run a survivor pool. You pick one NFL team each week. If that team wins, you stay alive. If it loses, you are out. You cannot pick the same team twice in a season.

The app keeps the schedule, the picks, the deadlines, and the standings in one place so nobody has to run a spreadsheet. That is the whole product. We are software, not a betting operator.

By creating an account or joining a pool, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Some pools play for nothing. Some pass a hat. Either way, we are not part of that transaction. The commissioner may use Eliminator to write down who has paid, the same way they might use a notepad. That record is a convenience. It is not proof of payment, not a receipt, and not a promise from us that anyone will be paid.

Any dispute about money is between you and your commissioner and the other players. We are not a party to it, we do not arbitrate it, and we cannot move funds to resolve it.

We do not award prizes. We do not guarantee that a pot exists, that it is the amount shown, or that a winner will receive anything.

There is one thing we may charge you for, and it is software. A commissioner can buy a season subscription for the tools that run a pool. Player extras, where we offer them, are available only in pools with no buy-in. We will never sell an advantage in a pool that is playing for money, and no payment you make to us ever goes into, or comes out of, a pot. Anything you buy is billed by us, in dollars, for a feature. Prices are shown before you pay.

Eliminator is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or join a pool. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

Survivor pools are contests of skill and NFL knowledge. You choose your team. There is no house, no odds set by us, and no wager placed with us.

Laws about private contests and social pools differ by state, county, and country, and they change. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules where you live. If a pool with a buy-in is not permitted where you are, do not run one or join one. Commissioners carry the same responsibility for the pool they organize.

Nothing here is legal advice. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer in your state.

A commissioner creates the pool, invites players, and sets the house rules. They can see the roster, track who has paid, and remove players.

Commissioners agree to run an honest pool: state the rules up front, apply them evenly, and settle anything they collect. We give commissioners tools. We do not supervise them and we do not stand behind them.

Game times, matchups, and results come from ESPN's public feeds. We show that data as we receive it.

We do not guarantee it is accurate, complete, or current. Feeds go down. Scores get corrected. Kickoff times move. A pick can be graded on data that later changes.

If the app and the actual result disagree, the actual result is what counts, and your commissioner has the final say in your pool. Do not rely on Eliminator as the official record of an NFL game. Eliminator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, any NFL club, or ESPN. Team names and marks belong to their owners.

Picks close when the first game of the week kicks off, and an individual pick is final once that team's own game starts. After that it cannot be changed, by you or by us.

No pick counts as a loss. If you are still alive and the week closes without a pick from you, you are eliminated. That is the rule in most survivor pools and it is the rule here.

Set your pick early. Phones die, networks drop, and we cannot undo a missed deadline for you.

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

Give us a real email and a display name your pool will recognize. One account per person. You can review or update your details, or delete your account, at your account page.

Do not:

• Create accounts for people who do not exist, or enter a pool more than once when the rules say one entry.
• Use someone else's email, name, or identity.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or probe the app for weaknesses.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, or put anything hateful or obscene in a display name or message.
• Use Eliminator to run a commercial betting operation, take wagers from the public, or advertise one.
• Break the law where you live, or help anyone else do it.

You keep ownership of your display name, picks, and anything you write. You give us permission to show that content inside the app to the pools you belong to, which is the only way standings work.

Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other players, or puts the service at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

You can close your own account whenever you want at your account page. Deleting your account removes your access. It does not settle anything you owe your pool or anything your pool owes you.

We may also stop offering the service, or any part of it, at any time.

We work hard to keep Eliminator fast and correct, and we still cannot promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eliminator and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost pool money, arising out of your use of the app.

Because we never take custody of pool funds, we are not liable for any buy-in, pot, payout, or debt between you and your commissioner or other players.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

You agree to cover us for claims brought against us because of a pool you organized or the way you used the app.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is true, they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

We may update these terms. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters, tell you in the app or by email. Using Eliminator after a change means you accept the new version.
